The [[#Ortanus]] family held an astral orb that held [[The Worm]]. It was broken during a heist Rowyn orchestrated allowing Worm to escape A thing of the great beyond perhaps. House Ortanus seemingly was hoping to use the orb / the entity within to foil Vateri Family plans to deliver [[Fahshulzgarath The Hunger]] to Nessus on Broker Day in order to ascend to the Empty Throne. [[Dulian Markoth]] who was charged by [[Pallas Zion]], the thrall for Asmodeus, to collect The Worm and stop him from hatching so that the plot to summon [[Fahshulzgarath The Hunger]] would occur without interference. The Devil Lord wished to introduce [[The Great Beyond]] to the mortal plane. This plot was almost entirely avoided by the players in [[Campaign 3]], however, they failed to stop [[Fahshulzgarath The Hunger]] from bursting forth before swiftly expelling him back to [[The Great Beyond]].
